I am available for commissions. This process is a wonderful opportunity for you to bring your own personal touch to my style of painting. I am often working on commissioned gifts for family members and loved ones as well as client work.
I like to paint in a way that the painting comes alive as I put my brush to the canvas. I like to work with some ideas to inspire me (i.e. you may wish specific text to be included or colours) and if its a portrait I surround myself with images of the person I'm focusing on.

I love when I'm given enough information to start a painting but not be overwhelmed by the detail so my work is fresh. Generally I ask for indication of what your favourite artworks are of mine are so I can try to follow in the same style. If it is a commissioned portrait I need 4-6 photos for reference. I don't often do portrait sittings due to my rural location and limited time but may be able to arrange it.
I can work on paper or canvas and can work in any medium. My personal preference are acrylic paint, ink, coloured pencils, watercolour, gouache. I am also able to use charcoal, chalk pastels, oil pastels and many more.
The use of collage in an artwork is optional. I tend to use it frequently in my personal paintings as a way of making a statement and adding an extra dimension of meaning into my pieces. However it is not required. I am able to use specific books, text, sheet music if you'd like that.
