Wilderness Awards Shortlist

I am so pleased to share that One Potoroo has been shortlisted in the Picture Book category for the 2022 Environment Award for Children’s Literature. It sits alongside many other wonderful stories that celebrate nature. I just love that so many of these titles teach us something new everyday. I’m loving embracing nature in my illustration journey. So many fascinating facts and being able to share that knowledge with others is an honour.

The winners of all the awards will be announced a special ceremony during Australia’s Nature Book Week.

To celebrate Nature Book Week there is an event you can attend - with many of them accessible online. You can see a giant list of events right here.

Live story reading, panel talks for threatened species and so much more. On the 5th of September there is a virtual read-aloud of One Potoroo by author, teacher-librarian and judge Megan Daley.
