Bunya Pine Cone Illustration

A$450.00

Australia has some of the tallest and most unique trees in the world. As part of exploring them I've painted a giant bunya pine cone. These cones are the size of a child's head, heavy and fall with no warning from the tree. They are covered with giant spikes and have the most amazing texture of layers. I painted this as a still life from an original pine cone which now proudly adorns a shelf in my studio.

This is an original acrylic painting on top artist quality watercolour paper of a Bunya pine cone.

This illustration is one of the featured trees in the "The Book of Australian Trees".

Painted with acrylic on beautiful 300gsm watercolour paper. It is A3 in size (29.7 x 42cm) and will be posted in a flat non bendable mailer. It is signed and dated and will have a certificate of authentication.
